Description

Paperazzi Audrey Hepburn 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

Part of the “Paperazzi” Jigsaw Puzzle Collection

Artist Ines Kouidis brings us a different view of four iconic characters with her fascination for collage. Her ability to capture the elegance and beauty of each subject highlights her love of this medium. Aptly titled “Paperazzi” this is a must have to share with friends and family. The titles are: Amy Winehouse, Audrey Hepburn, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe.

About the Artist: Ines Kouidis

The fascination of movie stars, rock and pop stars, fashion icons, people and their stories are the subject of Ines Kouidis collages.  Old newspapers, glossy magazines, posters and paper of any kind are my colour, my source.

A new show is created, a new look.  Ines Kouidis sends the viewer on a journey through characters, careers, fortunes, dreams.  Her work gives her great pleasure – a feeling that she wants to get across to the viewer. Each portrait is a journey of discovery.  the paper is  like a witness.  Even the smallest scrap of paper tells a story and like through a puzzle Ines creates a new appearance of the person.  Already back in her earlier work the focus lay on the man.  The movements of the body and the tension of the moment to hold.  Swimmers, athletes, dancers, bull fighters, the clash of arms, the dancing shoes on the floor, the rustle of clothes, the music captured in snapshots.  Since her childhood art belongs to her life.  Ines studied painting and drawing at the Free Academy of Art Berlin and joined the company of different groups of artists to exchange experiences and thoughts. Ines lives and works in Berlin.
