About the Artist: Patrick J Costello

Patrick was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1940.  Shortly after moving to Iowa in 1957, he entered the commercial art field where h gained recognition as a gifted staff artist.  In 1976 he left his job to become a self employed artist, devoting all his time to his painting.

Patrick is a self-taught, highly motivated artist.  He works from field sketches and photos he takes during the many hours he spends outdoors  He spends weeks working on his originals.  The works of Patrick J Costello are displayed in corporate and private collections around the county.  His work is known for its exceptional detail, lifelike quality and classic composition.

Patrick and his wife, Joan moved from Iowa to Carefree, Arizona in 2012. He continues to paint subjects around the area.
