Each mini-puzzle is stored in a separate compartment of the sturdy wooden storage box, but just in case they get jumbled together, each puzzle piece is shape- coded on the back for easy sorting!

The set is great for travel too.  The compact box keeps everything organized, and the slide-on box lid doubles a convenient portable puzzle board.

Extension Activities: More Ways to Play and Learn:

• Look at the pictures of the puzzles on the outside of the box. Ask the child to tell you the them of the puzzle set.
• Remove the pieces from one puzzle and ask the child to count each piece out loud.  Add additional puzzle pieces until the child can count all of the pieces in the box.
• Ask the child to tell a story based on the picture
• Select three or four pieces from one puzzle and ask the child to identify from which puzzle the pieces came.
• Mix up all of the puzzle pieces.  Ask the child to sort the pieces into four piles by looking at the shapes printed on the backs of the pieces.
