Garry Fleming – Country Senate 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle
The Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo (Cacatua Galerita) is a large cockatoo found widely across Australia. They are numerous in number, with large flocks often visiting city parks and suburban gardens. They are a highly intelligent bird, and derive their name from the bright sulphur or yellow coloured crest.
This painting was inspired after Garry observed this flock on a visit to the south coast of New South Wales. It was painted using watercolour and gouache on 100% rag board.
