Description

Tom Mackie – Cappadocia, Turkey 1000 Piece Puzzle

Wonders of the World – The World’s Most Beautiful Jigsaw Puzzles

CAPPADOCIA, TURKEY

Located in the central Anatolia region of Greece, Cappadocia contains spectacular fairy chimney rock formations that have been created as the result of erosion of a tufa layer from wind and rain leaving pinnacles as high as forty metres.  Hot air ballooning is a great way to see these incredible formations.

As I walked around the various valleys of incredible rock formations, I looked for compositions that would make order out of the chaotic clusters.  As a hot air balloon drifted into view, it perfectly filled a gap between two towers.  It’s actually more difficult to photograph the rock formations without balloons at this time of day.
