About the Artist:

Susan Wheeler is a gifted artist now residing in Fredericksburg, Texas.  Growing up in New England gave Susan the chance to explore the outdoors and fantasise about secret places where animals lived.

Susan is the creator of Holly Pond Hill, a world of Victorian fancy, seen through the eyes of woodland creatures.  Susan has created exquisitely detailed watercolours that include adorable rabbits, mice and other animals.

To enter the enchanting Holly Pond Hill animal world is to find magic and joy in the simple pleasures of everyday life.  This is a place where a cup of tea, a little conversation and the company of a good friend are all that is required to make a perfect day.

The inhabitants cross the boundaries between animal and human behaviour and can be seen having fun shopping, making and frosting cakes, gathering flowers or frolicking outside among the autumn leaves.  They love chocolate!

Susan gains inspiration for her work from her Christian faith and she lives with her husband, four children and various pets and farm animals.
