Description

This Portable Jigsaw Puzzle set includes four wooden, 12- piece Jigsaw Puzzles with four different animals including a Cow, Chicken, Horse and pig.

Each mini-puzzle is stored in a separate compartment of the sturdy wooden storage box.

The set is great for travel too.  The compact box keeps everything organized, and its lid works as a portable puzzle board.

Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles in a Box  promote creativity and imaginative play, and help teach hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, visual perception, memory skills, problem solving and sorting skills.

Extension Activities: More Ways to Play and Learn:

  • Look at the pictures of the puzzles on the outside of the box.  Ask the child to tell you the theme of the puzzle set.
  • Remove the pieces from one puzzle and ask the child to count each piece out loud.  Add additional puzzle pieces until the child can count all of the pieces in the box.
  • Ask the child to tell a story based on the picture.
  • Select three or four pieces from one puzzle and ask the child to identify which puzzle the pieces came from.
  • Mix up all of the puzzle pieces.  Ask the child to fort the pieces into  four piles by looking at the shapes printed on the backs of the pieces.
