Description

Water World  1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

Water is the vital element without which every living thing will die.  Apart from being a necessity, many animals and birds prefer to spend their whole lives in or around water.  Of these, the largest and probably the most dangerous to man, are the Hippo and the Crocodile,  In the puzzle, you see the gentler side of the croc as it brings its recently hatched young, to introduce them carefully to the water.  The young Crocodiles take to the water with great enthusiasm.  However, being small there are many predators waiting to snap the up if given half a chance, mother therefore still watches over them until they can begin to fend for themselves.  Hippopotamuses graze on water weed and under cover of darkness, they may emerge from the river to feed on the various grasses which grow in profusion along the banks – occasionally even raiding man’s crops.  Some birds, such as the swan in this puzzle, also have similar preferences.  The great attraction for many animals and birds of course are fish and other water-borne organisms.

Represented in this puzzle are many wild creatures from both the new and old worlds.
